Board Technical Advisors (BTA) serve a vital role in the investigation of competency based complaints regarding professional engineers and land surveyors. Their expertise is a tremendous asset to the Board’s investigative committee in determining if probable cause exists that a violation has occurred.  Understanding the amount of time necessary to provide an examination of documents submitted for review the Board limits the number of cases assigned to a BTA each year. The BTA is also selected from a different geographical area of the State than were the violation occurred.
